Dawn on Good Friday morning, looking out toward Tower Bridge in the City of London. This is the scene as it presented itself, with a lovely purple come pink wispy sky casting a glow across the whole image. The Tower of London and City Hall are presented in the scene, creating a juxtaposition of old and new architectures.
The image was captured using the Canon EOS 20D using the Canon EFS 10-22mm f/3.4-4.5 USM lens set to f25 for 20 seconds at ISO 100 under manual control. The capture was set to RAW. Cokin Neutral Density graduated filters were used to ensure a more balanced exposure. Post capture processing was performed using Phase One, Capture One and Adobe Photoshop Elements. |
